About

Thabile Mashologu is a Black South African voice over artist, social entrepreneur and film student who aspires to bring healing to the world through the art of filmmaking by producing and directing films and theatre pieces that touch on issues such as poverty, gender-based violence and the legacy of Apartheid in modern day South Africa.

She has always been passionate about social justice, actively pursuing roles that give her the platform to contribute in any way she can towards the resolution of social issues. This has resulted in her being part of the executive committee in the United Nations Association of South Africa's University of Cape Town chapter, being a part of AFDA’s Student Representative Council, taking on leadership roles in her high school's Student Representative Council and being elected as the head of her school's Transformation Committee. In her final year of high school, she also got chosen to direct a play, an opportunity she used to address the issue of mental health and trauma using the power of the creative arts. That experience led to the aspirations she has today to use the art of theatre and filmmaking to heal her community.

Whilst studying, she has pursued her passion for social entrepreneurship by founding a Non-Profit Company called Muse Afrika (https://www.museafrika.com/), which on top of doing charity work focuses on youth empowerment and the resolution of Gender-Based Violence (GBV) through various projects such as the organisation's webinar series that tackled the issue of GBV through panel discussions. (Recordings of the series can be found on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCnxln-Vivgod64Zs90ihlBw) The organisation has worked on a youth empowerment program centred around young people tackling the issue of Gender-Based Violence, working together to find solutions and turn them into life. For more information regarding the program, please visit https: https://www.museafrika.com/post/the-muse-youth-empowerment-program or our Instagram page at @muse.afrika

Thabile is also the official voice-artist for the popular DSTV channel, Trace Urban. In addition to Trace Urban, Thabile has done voice-over jobs for clients such as Investec, Coca-Cola, and Cadbury, to name a few. Thabile thoroughly enjoys her voice-over work as her opportunity to express her performative side whilst making use of one of her strengths!
